During a recent visit to the Rasina District, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić unveiled a series of significant infrastructure and development plans targeting the Brus municipality. One of the key components of this initiative is the allocation of around €6 million towards the reconstruction of roads. By the end of October, the aim is to have 15 kilometres of roads freshly paved, ensuring that almost every village in the area benefits from improved transportation access.
In addition to road improvements, President Vučić outlined plans for the Vignjište water-supply project, a substantial investment valued at €2 million. This project is slated to commence by the end of the year, promising to enhance the water infrastructure of the region. Furthermore, discussions are ongoing with a potential investor regarding the establishment of a new factory, which could bring approximately 200 jobs to the community, further boosting the local economy.
While visiting an organic fruit-processing company, Vučić highlighted the support available to businesses through government initiatives. Companies can benefit from financial assistance for acquiring machinery, including non-refundable grants of around €42,000. Additionally, loans from the Development Fund are offered at attractive fixed interest rates ranging from 2 to 2.5 percent, making it easier for local enterprises to expand and modernize their operations.
As part of his itinerary, President Vučić also announced his plans to attend the opening of a new robot factory in Šabac on August 29. This event marks another milestone in Serbia’s ongoing efforts to bolster its industrial sector and create new employment opportunities. Through these diverse projects and investments, the Serbian government aims to foster economic growth and improve the quality of life for its citizens.
