Pashinyan extended greetings for Eid al-Adha to Erdoğan during their discussion. Both leaders assessed the progress made in fostering closer bilateral relations and expanding avenues for cooperation. Erdoğan highlighted that the normalization process is progressing through tangible actions aimed at enhancing direct trade and boosting economic collaboration between the two nations. He reiterated Türkiye’s dedication to fostering peace, stability, and enduring security in the region.
This telephonic engagement marks the latest in a series of high-level contacts between Ankara and Yerevan, as both countries work towards a gradual rapprochement after years of tension. The normalization initiative, which began in late 2021 with the appointment of special envoys, seeks to enhance dialogue, build trust, and open up prospects for collaboration in mutually beneficial areas.
